Walking—Wonder Wedneday

It's WONDER Wednesday!

This week's WONDER is walking. That's right: Left foot. Right foot. Repeat. As spring chases out winter, we're swapping boots for sneakers and hitting sidewalks, paths and trails around Northern Michigan.

HERE ARE FOUR NEW IDEAS ON AN AGE-OLD PRACTICE.
Try them out on your next stroll, hike or meander and let us know how it went!

  • DO A SPINNERETTE
Look to right, to the left, up and down. All around. What can you see? What would you have missed?

  • 60 SECONDS OF SILENCE
Get quiet. What do you notice?

  • SOUND CATALOGUE
What sounds can you hear as you walk? See if you can identify 5 or even 10.

  • FIND A SIT SPOT
When you're well and truly tuckered, pick a spot to sit awhile and think, rest, draw, or just breathe. It's that simple!
